1.1 Browser Extension

The PureBlur browser extension runs entirely locally in your browser. The extension requests the following permissions:

  • storage: Save your blur rules and license information to the browser's local storage.
  • activeTab: Inject blur styles into the current active tab.
  • scripting: Execute blur logic on webpages (only used to apply blur rules you actively set).
  • host_permissions: Apply blur effects on webpages you visit.

The extension does NOT collect, upload, or share your browsing history, webpage content, or personal information. Blur rules are stored entirely in your browser locally — we cannot access them.

1.2 Website

  • Payment Information: When purchasing an official license, we collect your email address to deliver the License Key. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors — we do not directly collect or store your credit card, WeChat Pay, or Alipay account information.
  • Device Identifier: When activating a License, the extension generates a random device identifier (UUID) for license-device binding verification. This identifier contains no personal information.
  • Cookies: The website uses essential cookies to ensure proper operation (such as theme preferences). No tracking cookies are used.

2. How We Use Information

  • Email Address: Used solely to deliver License Keys and important service notifications.
  • Device Identifier: Used solely for license binding verification to prevent key abuse.
  • We do not use any information for user profiling, ad targeting, or automated decision-making.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Payment Processor: Handles WeChat Pay and Alipay payments. The payment process is governed by each payment platform's privacy policy.
  • SMTP Email Service: Used to send License Keys and notification emails.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Server-side data is stored on servers located in China.
  • We take reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and server access controls.
  • License and payment records are retained for 5 years after the transaction to meet financial compliance requirements.

5. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of your personal information we hold.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information under certain circumstances.
  • Withdraw your consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal).
