What is Smart Scan
Smart Scan is a one-click automatic detection and blur feature for private information. Click the "✨" button, and PureBlur scans the entire page, using regex matching to identify and blur common sensitive information formats.
Tip
This feature is currently in Beta and may have false negatives or false positives. We recommend previewing the scan results and manually confirming them before starting your recording.
Detectable Information Types
- Email addresses (e.g., name@example.com)
- Chinese mainland phone numbers (e.g., 13812345678)
- Chinese mainland ID numbers (18 digits)
- Monetary amounts and bank card numbers
- IP addresses
How to Use
- Open the PureBlur control panel
- Click the "✨" Smart Scan button in the toolbar
- In the popup bubble, check the types of information to scan for
- Click "Start Scan"
- PureBlur automatically identifies and blurs matching sensitive information
- Scan results are shown in the bubble — you can confirm or undo each item
Privacy Guarantee
All regex matching and detection logic runs locally in the browser's Content Script. PureBlur never sends webpage text to any external server. This is our core privacy commitment.
